PLAYDIUM BALI UPDATE 2 | WEEKEND EXCURSION

Our Bali team had its first few days off last weekend, which was well spent sight-seeing and relaxing. On the Saturday we actually had an earlier morning than we usually do and woke up at 2 A.M. to begin our day. We had an early morning because our first activity was to climb the Batur Volcano to watch the sunrise. It was about an hours drive from our accommodation to the base site, but the real journey began when we started our hike. We weren't the only group that woke up  early that morning to see the sunrise as there were lots of other groups already on site when we arrived.

We were led by a wonderful guide, Cynthia, who led us up a deceivingly easy path up to the next base. From there it was a more physically challenging climb up, but most rewarding when we finally got to the top. We arrived just as the sun started to rise past the horizon.

After the challenging climb up, the climb down was a lot easier because we could see where we were going once the sun was out. When we finally got back to the bottom where we dropped off at the base, we quickly got back into the cars for the ride home. When we got back, everybody had a nap after a tiring morning.

The next day, half of the team enjoyed a therapeutic day at a place called Jungle Fish, where they were pampered with half-price massages and enjoyed life by an infinity pool. Later in the evening, the rest of the team joined for a relaxing evening of swimming and food to call it a day. Everyone was feeling refreshed after a long week, hopefully ready for another week of hard work!
