PLAYVILION CIPANAS UPDATE 2 | A RAINY WEEK
After 14 days in Cipanas, the build is progressing well! The team has worked tirelessly to complete 3 out of 4 pavilions, with the final pavillion only requiring some finishing details.
Unfortunately we have had some pretty bad weather for the last few days which has meant the work progression slowed, however, our spirits were not dampened and team moral has stayed high. Thanks to Dave Clark’s knot tying expertise, we've managed to hang two hammocks and multiple rope swings on the 3rd and 4th pavillion.
Mid week, we took a day off to soak up the sun and give ourselves a rest. We spent the day playing football with the school’s children and designing the linking space between the 3rd and 4th pavillion. This space needed to act as seating for ‘the stage’ (3rd pavilion) and a visual link between the two. We decided to cast concrete into individual box modules to make a path leading to the tower (4th pavilion). Once this has been completed, all that is left to do is finish cladding the tower and tidy up site. We aim to be finished on the 20th August, in time for our return to Jakarta on the 21st.
We have delayed out weekend until Monday, when we will be driving two hours to Kampung Sampireun Hotel and Spa resort to relax and enjoy our last week in Cipanas. The team are all very exited for some down time and a massage!
Make sure you return to catch our next update and to see what we got up to at the spa!
